Overall, the silver parts have a semi-gloss Extra Finish-style coating, and the body follows the same kind of look. The coating quality is pretty average, though the coating layer does make the joints feel a bit tighter, which is nice. The blue on the body is coated in a noticeably deeper shade compared to most other coated limited editions — it gives the kit a slightly weightier, more substantial feel.

Aside from the Extra Finish-style coating, there's not a whole lot else to talk about, but if you're after a compact, clean-looking coated Exia, this is definitely a limited edition worth building at least once. :-)
