Kit Review

Straight build

The sixth kit in the HG AGE series is the Zedas, a flight-type transforming mech similar to the Gafran. As you'd expect from a modern HG, it has solid color separation right out of the box, with joint strength sturdy enough for a transforming kit and decent articulation overall.

The transformation to flight mode looks similar to the Gafran at first glance, but it's actually a bit different — the body splits front and back and folds together. It's essentially a simple transformation where you spread the side-skirt wings and straighten the body, making it even easier to transform than the Gafran. As for weapons, there's nothing beyond the Zedas Sword that stores in the rear, though you do get two hand options — fists and open hands — as accessories.

It's not exactly a mainstream design, so opinions are going to be pretty divided on this one — but the quality is solid and stable as you'd expect from a modern HG, and if the style clicks with you, it's a fun kit to enjoy. :-)
