As the 9th kit in the AGE HG lineup, the HG G-Exes was released alongside the AG version. AG and HG have always been released as a pair, though oddly enough the previous HG Baqto never got an AG release. ^^

Since the overall armor color is just plain white, this kit ends up looking a bit flat and plain on the detail front, much like the Genoace Custom. That said, compared to the AG version the color separation is noticeably better in various spots, and the ankle articulation is good enough that you can pull off some solid poses.

There is one quirky point worth mentioning though.. On recent HG kits, the front skirt comes as a single piece and you can cut the center with nippers to make each side articulate independently. But when I cut the center on this kit's front skirt.. the skirt panels ended up flopping around completely uncontrollably, which is pretty rough ;; This is a general issue with the HG AGE series kits, but the G-Exes is the worst offender. You're honestly better off just leaving it as one solid piece. ^^

Overall it's a solid, no-frills HG kit — nothing particularly standout about it, but it's a nice little build that lets you enjoy the satisfaction of putting together something new. :-)
