Gundam AGE-2 Double Bullet

Kit Review

Straight build

The Double Bullet has been released as an HG variation of the Gundam AGE-2. Just like with the AGE-1, the head and body are shared while the arm/leg armor and weapons are changed — though unlike the AGE-1 Titus or Spallow, a good portion of the arms and legs are reused here.

The Double Bullet's defining feature is the two massive side binders mounted on the shoulders in place of wings. The front sections of these side binders can be detached and used as the Twin Dodge Rifles, and you can also plug in beam sabers, making them quite versatile.

Since a large portion of the kit is shared with the AGE-2 Normal, the Double Bullet is likewise an excellent action figure kit with great articulation and solid joint strength. The transformation is also implemented in a very similar way to the Normal — though with the wings swapped out for the Double Bullet's binders, the transformed mode does feel a little less dramatic somehow. ^^;

All in all, it's a solid, clean-quality HG kit, and unlike the Normal it has a bolder color scheme and those versatile side binders that give it its own personality. It'd make an even better display piece alongside the AGE-2 Normal. :-)
