Farsia

Kit Review

Straight build

The Farsia, which could be called the feminine mobile suit of the AGE lineup, has been released as an HG. As you can see, it's got a petite frame, elegant lines, and pink molded colors — unmistakably feminine in design. The scarf-like look around the neck is a particularly fun touch. ^^

This kit is unusual in that it uses no polycaps whatsoever. That said, Bandai's polycap-less engineering has reached quite a refined level, and the joint strength feels solid and stable — not stiff or loose at all. If anything, the lack of polycaps actually makes the build feel a bit easier. The articulation isn't exceptional, but the graceful lines give it a nice look when posed.

The HG Farsia comes with its own dedicated Farsia Base, which also serves as the disc-like vehicle the suit rides on. On top of that, a dedicated clear stand for the Farsia Base is included, and there's also support for mounting it on an Action Base 2 without the stand. You can also recreate an all-range attack pose by plugging the five panel-style bit weapons onto soft clear rods — overall, this kit feels surprisingly generous for its price point.

Even if you're not particularly into AGE, if you're a fan of feminine mobile suit designs, this is a clean, well-made kit that's definitely worth building. :-)
