HG GBB

Blazing Gundam

Kit Review

Straight build + Stickers

This is the HG Blazing Gundam, the fourth entry in the Gundam Breaker Battlogue series. Since it's based on G Gundam, this kit is also built on the HGFC G Gundam with new runners added. Compared to the rounder G Gundam, it has a more angular look with a different color scheme and style, giving it a pretty fresh feel.

Design-wise, you can see various G Gundam elements have been rearranged — the original wings have moved to the forearms, and the Sekiha Tenkyoken forearm armor has shifted to the ankle armor. A beam tonfa has been added as a new weapon, and the beam parts can be shared with the beam saber. There's also a clear green right foot included for the Bakuretsu Bakusai Blazing Kick.

Being a descendant of G Gundam with its emphasis on action, there's a lot of fun to be had posing it in all kinds of ways. The underlying frame is the same as the HGFC G Gundam, so it still delivers excellent articulation and joint strength. The one complaint I have is that the connection where the tonfas mount on the backpack is a bit loose and tends to fall off easily.

Overall this is a solid, high-quality HG kit — if you loved G Gundam or the style appeals to you, this is definitely one you can enjoy to the fullest. :-)
