This kit is a Build Custom Mega Ride Launcher — a modern reimagining of the Zeta Gundam lineage's mega launcher. It's been remodeled, sure, but you could just as easily see it as the classic mega launcher in a different design. What sets it apart is the variety of articulation gimmicks that let you use it in a firing mode or mount it as a backpack.

At its core, it's the same kit as the Mega Ride Launcher backpack included with the simultaneously released Build Fighters HG Hyaku-Shiki (Mega Shiki), but with four additional joint parts that weren't included with that kit. Also worth noting — the Hyaku-Shiki's Mega Ride Launcher is purple, while the Build Customs version comes in white.

The Mega Ride Launcher features individually articulated nose, mount base, and booster sections, and the underside includes a grip along with various attachment gimmicks. These allow it to be used in a variety of configurations — rifle style, center-body mounted, or backpack mounted.

It's primarily recommended for use with the Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam, or Mk-II Gundam, but thanks to the joint gimmick design, it can be attached and used with pretty much any HG kit in a number of different ways.
