The 22nd Build Custom kit is here — the Ballden Arm Arms, a multi-function weapon pack. It's a similar concept to the previously released Powered Arms Powereder, being an accessory kit that has its own flight form and can transform into a backpack to be mounted on other MS.
The biggest feature of the Ballden Arm Arms is that it's a multi-joint unit where every fixed section is actually a movable one. It's built by stringing together a series of small movable parts one after another, resulting in over 30 articulation points. Thanks to that, it can freely switch between a compact flight form and a fully spread-out backpack form. And thankfully, the joints hold their position pretty well, so once you get a pose set, it stays put.
That said, with so many joint points to deal with, getting everything balanced into a good pose means fiddling with a whole bunch of spots for quite a while — which can be a bit of a hassle. And with so much freedom in how it can be configured, it actually makes it harder to decide which shape looks best. On top of that, a fair number of joint parts end up as leftover parts, though you could always find creative uses for them depending on your preferences.
Either way, it's a fun accessory kit to mess around with alongside your HG kits, and if you're a Build Fighters fan, it's definitely worth picking up. :-)
