The 28th Build Custom kit is the HG Lightning Gundam Back Weapon System (BWS) Mk-III. As the name suggests, this is the third BWS following the previously released Mk-I and Mk-II, and unlike its predecessors, it comes in a bright red color scheme with four large wings.

The four wings can move up and down and also open and close, and the wing span is longer than you'd expect, making the kit itself quite sizable. Detach the nose section from the wing unit and it can be used as a beam rifle, and remove the nose cover as well and it becomes a small beam gun. On top of that, the detached nose cover can be combined with the HG Lightning Gundam's beam rifle and shield to upgrade it into yet another form of beam rifle.

True to its BWS nature, you can rotate the wings 90 degrees to the rear and plug it into the backpack port of an HG-scale Gundam — and it naturally looks best on the HG Lightning Gundam.
