Gundam Try Age Magnum

Kit Review

Straight build + Stickers

This is the HG Gundam Try Age Magnum released as part of the Build Divers Re:Rise series. The Gundam AGE-II Magnum was previously released under the Build Divers line, and now we've got the Re:Rise version.

As is typical for Build series kits, this one reuses parts from existing kits — but about half of the parts are new, so it feels quite fresh. True to the Magnum name, clear parts are used extensively, and the transparent beam cloak is a particularly unique touch. You can detach the parts that hold the beam cloak in place, add the beam parts, and turn it into a large sword called the Try Slash Blade — and you can even extend the handle using additional support parts.

On top of that, a Try Dots Rifle is included, and you can detach the shoulders to form Dots Cannons and display them in a launch pose on the stand. The included simple clear stand can be used for both the main body and the Dots Cannons, and with a separate mounting part attached, it can also support the Try Slash Blade. There's also a unique right hand included that's sculpted holding a card.

All in all, this kit offers a nice variety of accessories, decent articulation, and solid joint strength — it's a well-rounded kit overall. If you're into the design, it's definitely worth picking up and having some fun with. :-)
