Build Burning Gundam, the main unit from Gundam Build Fighters Try, has been released as an HG kit. True to Kunio Okawara's design style, it feels like a mashup of designs you've seen somewhere before, so it doesn't really feel all that fresh... if I had to compare it to something, it looks most similar to Impulse Gundam ;;

Setting aside personal taste in the design, this is an extremely high-quality kit. First off, the color separation is on a whole different level from your average HG — it's even more detailed than most HGUCs, which means the straight build looks really polished right out of the box. The overall articulation is top-notch, and the joint strength strikes that sweet spot of being smooth yet sturdy, making it a real joy to handle and pose. The ankle articulation in particular is excellent, with great ground contact, so you can easily balance it on one foot in a kicking pose.

The shoulder joint structure is also unique — the entire left and right upper torso sections swing forward independently, letting you pull off more dynamic poses. On top of that, as you can see in the photos, you get a really generous set of flashy flame parts, which makes posing even more fun ^^

Anyway, while it may not have the strongest backstory or legacy behind it, this is pretty much a near-perfect HG kit in terms of quality. The design feels a bit familiar to call truly original, but if you love that satisfying snap-fit feel and smooth, solid articulation, this is definitely a kit I'd recommend giving a try :-)
