Beargguy F [Family]

Kit Review

Straight build + Stickers

The Beargguy reuse train keeps on rolling — this time it's the Build Fighters HG Beargguy F [Family] version. As you can see, it takes the Beargguy III body and swaps it to a lighter beige tone, with the addition of a small blue baby bear called Petit'gguy. And the Beargguy in this kit is apparently called "Mama'gguy."

As you can tell at a glance, the star of this kit is the adorably cute Petit'gguy. Despite having a small number of parts, the color separation is excellent, and just snapping it together gives you a squeaky-cute, soft-looking little figure that'll make you go "awww~" ^^ Petit'gguy's arms and legs move fairly flexibly on ball joints, and just like Beargguy, the ears can rotate too~

A separate Beargguy hand is also included so the two can hold hands, but as you can see in the photos, it's molded in Petit'gguy's blue color rather than Beargguy's beige, which looks a little awkward.. That's easily the biggest letdown on an otherwise great kit in terms of both design and color separation. T_T

As for other features, you can plug the flame effect parts from the HG Build Burning Gundam onto Petit'gguy's hands, and true to the Build Fighters lineup, you can also mount Petit'gguy onto other HG kits using the backpack joint.

Anyway, the Beargguy lineup has always been about winning you over with cuteness, and this is a fun new addition to that family. It'd make a great gift for female modelers and anyone who loves adorable kits. :-)
