The Hi-Nu Gundam Brave — a variation of the Hi-Nu — has been released as a Build Fighters HG kit. The color scheme is similar to the original Hi-Nu, so it might not look all that different at first glance, but in reality more than half the parts have been newly redesigned.
For starters, the shoulder, forearm, and foot designs have been changed, and a new gimmick has been added to the middle of the fin funnel mounts so they spread out even wider. The backpack structure has also been completely redesigned, making it bigger and more imposing, and the shield has been enlarged in an HWS-style as well. All of this gives the kit a much fuller, more voluminous look overall — though the added weight at the back does make balancing it on a flat surface a bit tricky.
Thanks to that beefed-up volume, even a slightly spread-out pose looks incredibly dynamic. The articulation and joint strength are both excellent too, so posing this kit is a lot of fun. ^^
One of the coolest things about this kit is that you can combine the shield, fin funnel sections, blades, and a separate gimmick piece to form the peacock-shaped Brave Booster. It's a design that makes great use of the spread-out wing-like fin funnels — and it's the kind of thing that's only really possible because this is a Build Fighters kit.
Sure, the fact that it's a mobile suit from the relatively new Build Fighters series might make it feel a bit less substantial to some, but if you just think of it as an MSV, it's actually a really cool design. Set aside any preconceptions and just enjoy it for what it is, and I can honestly say this is one seriously awesome and fun kit. :-)
