Following the Build Burning and Try Burning, the Kamiki Gundam that appeared in the final episode of Build Fighters Try has now been kitted up in HG form. As you can see in the comparison photo right above, the design has gotten progressively more complex and flashy going from Build → Try → Kamiki.

The frame itself still uses the HG Build Burning Gundam's, so the articulation and joint characteristics remain excellent with no major changes. That said, it's worth praising the fact that they ditched the shoulder polycap that used to pop out constantly and adopted a new shoulder structure — the shoulders stay in place much better now.

Befitting its more elaborate design, the parts breakdown has become more refined as well. As a result, the straight build looks absolutely top-tier in terms of color richness for an HG kit. The complex color separation on the shoulders, torso, knees and more is pulled off really well with barely any stickers — that's genuinely impressive. The only letdown is the newly added tachi, which has neither stickers nor color separation, so it feels comparatively plain next to everything else.

The flame punch and fire effect parts that came with the original Build Burning Gundam are all included here too, and on top of that, brand-new flame effect parts exclusive to the Kamiki Burning Gundam have been added. The Try Burning Gundam's flame effect parts were already pretty flashy, but purely in terms of visuals, the Kamiki Gundam's take the crown. Just a heads-up though — when you actually attach them, the scabbard plugged into the rear and the arm parts can get in the way, making it tricky to rotate the waist.

Overall, this is a top-tier kit at the HG level — color separation, articulation, joint strength, and accessories all check out with nothing to complain about. Sure, it only showed up briefly near the end of the show so its in-universe presence is a bit limited, but judged purely as a kit, I'd recommend it to all Gunpla fans — not just Build Fighters fans — as a really satisfying build. :-)
