Cherudim Gundam Saga Type.GBF

Kit Review

The 64th kit in the seemingly never-ending Build Fighters HG lineup is the Cherudim Gundam Saga Type.GBF. Based on the Double O HG Cherudim Gundam, this is a variation kit that changes the molded color and chest armor while adding weapon mounting points all over the body.

The HG Cherudim Gundam came out back in 2008, but it was already a pretty high-quality kit at the time — so this kit, sharing the same base body, delivers excellent articulation and solid joint strength as well. Instead of the bit weapons that the Cherudim Gundam had mounted all over its body, this one features weapon-mounting gimmicks that let you rack a variety of weapons on the frame. You get one GN Assault Carbine, two GN Submachine Guns, two GN Pistols, and a GN Pistol II — a whopping seven firearms in total.

All of the weapons can be mounted on the body, and the GN Pistols in particular stow away nicely inside the side containers. As a bonus, the GN Missile Container on the rear skirt also has an opening gimmick. Thanks to all these different weapons, you can pull off all kinds of attack poses, and with the kit's excellent articulation and stability, posing it is a real treat.

This kit faithfully delivers on what the Build Fighters lineup does best — serving as a 21st-century take on MSV. The base quality is more than solid, so if the design appeals to you, it's definitely worth picking up. :-)
