This kit is the EG (Entry Grade) Build Strike Exceed Galaxy, released as part of the Gundam Build Metaverse series. Since it appears in the original work as a Gunpla customized from the EG Strike as a base, this kit is likewise based not on an HG but on the EG Strike Gundam. Unlike the EG Ra Gundam which only added a single new runner, this kit comes with 3 out of 5 runners being newly tooled.
The overall look follows a similar design concept to the existing Build Strike, but most of the exterior parts and weapons have been newly tooled. The joint parts are shared with the EG Strike Gundam, so the articulation characteristics are nearly identical. It's still easy to build and offers decent articulation, though compared to the EG First it does feel relatively ordinary in terms of overall quality.
The original Strike Gundam beam rifle is still included, but a new beam rifle and X Shield have been added. Separate beam parts can be attached to both the beam rifle and the X Shield, and the beam rifle can be used in two modes — rifle mode and sword mode. The Galaxy Fighter on the back can be detached separately, and you can also pose it with the Galaxy Fighter mounted on the arms and legs. On top of that, three joint parts are included for collaborating with other kits and accessories.
The overall quality is pretty much on par with the base kit, the EG Strike, and for an EG it actually has more parts than your average HG. That said, the basic quality is solid enough, and for the low price of ¥1,100 it seems like a kit you can have a pretty good time with. :-)
