Haro Basic Green / Diva Red / Shotting Orange

Kit Review

Straight build

If Build Fighters had the Petit'gguy lineup, then Build Divers kicks things off with the all-new Haropla lineup. The overall concept and structure is similar to the Petit'gguy, and apparently a variety of colors are planned for release down the line. As the first entries in this Haropla series, Basic Green, Diva Red, and Shotting Orange all launched simultaneously as a set of three kits.

At its core, this is a kit with a small number of parts that anyone can put together easily. You can remove the front of the body to expose the inner frame (though there's no frame on the back). You can also detach the arms and legs to recreate the stowed ball form, and those detached parts can be stored neatly underneath the stand.

The arms and legs are connected via ball joints, so they do move a little, but the range of motion isn't very wide and there aren't really any interesting poses to speak of. Compared to the Petit'gguy, which could pull off quite a few different poses, this one feels a bit plain.

Also, when fully closed into ball form, you can set it on the stand without using the support piece — but the fit isn't very secure, so it just ends up spinning around on its own. Honestly, even in ball form, it might look better floating up on the support piece rather than just sitting flat.

All that said, it's a simple, easy-to-build, and genuinely cute beginner-level model kit — something you could easily recommend to women and younger kids without any hesitation. :-)
