This kit is the HiRM Wing Gundam EW, released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. It's based on the standard release HiRM Wing Gundam Zero EW— the body carries over the same sculpt with only the molded color changed, while the wings and weapons have been newly redesigned.
First off, the body is the same configuration as before, so the joint strength is still rock-solid — stiff, even. The overall feel when posing is quite tight, which makes it a bit of a workout, but on the flip side the pose-holding ability is just as solid as ever. The newly redesigned wings are much larger and more detailed than those on the MG Wing Gundam EW, and they fold and spread at various angles. The newly sculpted Buster Rifle and energy packs are also cleanly executed with quality that matches or exceeds the MG.
On top of that, the gloss injection armor gives the whole kit a premium shine from head to toe. The HiRM's signature pre-assembled frame is identical to the HiRM Wing Gundam Zero EW, though the wing frame section has been removed. The frame still features plenty of metal parts, giving the kit that satisfying, diecast-like heft.
All in all, the gloss injection and visual flair definitely put it a step above the MG in terms of looks. That said, the ¥13,500 price tag still makes you stop and think about value for money. Even so, the dramatically larger wings allow for imposing poses you just can't pull off with the MG, so if you're a Wing Gundam fan, this is definitely a kit worth considering. :-)
