This kit is the HGUC Byarlant Custom 2, released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. Based on the HGUC Byarlant Customthat was released as the standard edition, the sculpt of the arms and backpack have been changed. Along with the fresh molded colors, the silhouette looks quite different thanks to the weapons mounted on the arms and back.

Structurally, the forearm design has been changed, with long rifles and aero armor now fitted on them — the long rifle stored in the forearm can be rotated 180 degrees and plugged in to recreate the firing configuration. The backpack has been swapped out for movable binders equipped with beam cannons, and those movable binders add a massive amount of height to the overall kit. The design already had those broad, wide-set shoulders to begin with, so now it boasts an enormous frame that surpasses even an MG kit in every dimension.

The core body structure is identical to the HGUC Byarlant Custom, so it still delivers average articulation and decent joint strength. The joints hold up fine under the kit's large frame, but since the weapons are somewhat limited, there aren't a huge variety of poses you can pull off. On the plus side, a transformation into flight mode is included, and the transformation process itself is relatively straightforward. There are also joint parts included for connecting the large Booster from the HGUC Gaplant.

All in all, this kit is significant simply for the fact that the Byarlant Custom 2 got the HGUC treatment, and the various gimmicks and features from the lore are faithfully reproduced. If you're a fan of Mobile Suit Gundam UC or just love big, chunky kits, this one is definitely worth a shot. :-)
