This kit is the Pale Rider (Space Type), released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. It's essentially the previously released Heavy Ground Combat Type with the backpack and weapons swapped out for Space Type versions. Aside from the shoulder armor, the main body is identical to the Heavy Ground Combat Type in every way — molded colors, design, and gimmicks alike.

It's still a bit of a shame that the assembly is on the tight side and the stickers feel a little out of place, but once you get it finished, you'll find yourself genuinely impressed by the sleek proportions. With solid joint strength and excellent articulation, it's a really fun kit to pose, and the overall build quality feels reassuringly consistent.

Going Space Type means the backpack now gets two binders added to it, and on the weapons side you get a beam gatling gun, ammo belt, energy pack, a new shield, and a beam rifle. Since the main body shares all the same features as the Heavy Ground Combat Type, the main thing to pay attention to in this review is what's changed on the weapons front. Either way, this is a kit that pairs really nicely with the Heavy Ground Combat Type, and honestly it's good enough that a wide release wouldn't have been out of the question at all. Great kit! :-)
