Gjallarhorn Arianrhod Fleet Complete Set

Kit Review

Straight build + Stickers

This is the HG Gjallarhorn Arianrhod Fleet Complete Set, released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. The concept is similar to the HG Tekkadan Complete Set — it bundles four kits: the HG Reginlaze Julia, Graze (Iok Kujan's), and two Dainsleif-equipped Graze units, with some MS option parts and newly sculpted runners added on top.

First up, the HG Reginlaze Julia shares the same structure and molded colors as the standard release, but interestingly, only the Julian Sword has been changed to a silver metallic molded color. New weapons in the form of a large sword and large shield have also been added, and the right hand that was leftover parts in the standard release has been brought back into use to hold the large sword. For reference, this hand originally came from the HG Mobile Reginlaze Julieta unit, which is the base kit for the HG Reginlaze Julia. On top of that, you can use the included lead wire to recreate the large shield's anchor launch scene.

The body of the Graze (Iok Kujan's) is carried over from the HG Graze Commander Type with only the molded color changed, and it comes with the Battle Blade from MS Option Set 4 and the backpack from Option Set 9. The center of this new backpack has a slot, so you can slide the Battle Blade in horizontally to store it.

The Dainsleif-equipped Graze comes with two identical kits, and the body features a redesigned head and an added backpack. The left arm is fitted with a large Dainsleif, and you can deploy the front section to recreate the attack pose from the show. The deployment isn't a hinged mechanism though — it works by detaching and reattaching the part — which is a bit of a shame since it really could have been done as a proper moving gimmick.

Overall, the lineup feels a bit more compact compared to the similar HG Tekkadan Complete Set, but the fresh new sculpt parts like the Dainsleif and the large sword/shield really do add a lot of value to this kit. Either way, if you're a fan of Iron-Blooded Orphans, this one is definitely worth the investment. :-)
