First off, the colorful color scheme is nicely pulled off with a few seals and good color separation, and the proportions are sharp as you'd expect from a modern kit. In terms of articulation, it does feature a hip joint sliding mechanism and a premium gimmick where the waist plate bends forward, but overall the articulation is more ordinary than you'd expect. The elbows in particular, done with C-shaped joints, have a limited range of motion and tend to pop off during posing — so despite the clean looks, the articulation is pretty average. That said, joint strength is above average and on the tight side, so whatever pose you put it in, it holds really well. It does feel slightly over-tight, but that's a million times better than being loose.

The biggest disappointment with this kit isn't so much that the forearm pops off easily — it's that the shield connection is just really poor. It clicks in with a satisfying snap when you attach it to the forearm, but the moment you try to move it even a little, it just drops right off T_T.. On top of that, the plastic overall feels quite hard, so trimming the gates takes a bit more effort than usual.

Anyway, setting aside the shield and elbow issues, this is a kit with clean, detailed looks and solid joints that really stand out. It's a massive step up in quality compared to the HG from 23 years ago, so for anyone who's been waiting for a Geminass HG, this should make for a great treat :-)
