Club G HG

Gundam Plutone

Kit Review

Straight build + Stickers

This kit is the HG Gundam Plutone, released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. It's the mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam 00V, and it's a completely new tooling kit with zero reused runners. In the lore, it's the Prototype of Gundam Nadleeh (Bache), and the gimmick of storing beam sabers in the knees is implemented similarly to Gundam Bache.

Overall this kit shows off a really clean level of quality, hitting all three marks of excellent color separation, great articulation, and solid joint strength. The GN particle supply cords that connect to the GN condensers on the waist are made of soft flexible parts, so they don't interfere with posing at all — nicely done. On top of that, staying true to the lore, you can detach the chest parts and backpack and combine them with the separately included parts to recreate the Core Fighter, and the forearm deployment gimmick is faithfully reproduced as well.

This is an HG kit with absolutely nothing to complain about — it honestly feels like building a top-tier HGUC. If you're a fan of 00 or this design just speaks to you, I'd confidently give this high-quality kit a strong recommendation. :-)
