Kit Review

Straight build + Seals
This is the HGUC Reben-Wolf [A.O.Z Re-boot Ver.], released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. It's a fully new-tooled AOZ kit after quite a while, based on the concept of an advanced mass-production variant of the Doven Wolf — which is why it comes out as a large kit with a similar bulk to the Doven Wolf.
First off, the overall build feel is on the tight side — it doesn't have that smooth, satisfying snap-together feel. Joint strength after assembly is also extremely stiff, stiff enough that you'd worry about breakage. The swap-out wrist parts are especially concerning; if you're not careful when pulling the hands off, they look like they'd snap right off. On the plus side, the overall stability is excellent, giving you rock-solid hold whether standing straight or in a pose.
Articulation is also pretty impressive given the chunky appearance, and all sorts of dynamic poses are possible. The legs have a vernier linked gimmick, and the head features a mono-eye rotation gimmick. Weapons include a beam machine gun and a beam sword axe, and two beam axe parts and two beam sword parts are also included. Worth noting — the beam sword axe handle is articulated and can extend or retract, which is apparently a first for Gunpla. Come to think of it, previous beam sword axe kits, whether MG or HG, always provided separate folded and extended versions.
True to the AOZ kit tradition of encouraging mix-and-build play(?), compatible knee joints are also included, letting you combine it with the HGUC Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort] Psycho Blade Custom. However, the method requires fully disassembling the legs and swapping out the knee joints, which is quite a pain. On top of that, the tight part fit makes disassembly difficult, so you'll want to take it slow and be careful not to break anything.
So this kit's strengths are its fresh design and solid joints — the stiff build and movement feel are a bit of a letdown, but if you're a fan of the AOZ series, it should be more than enough to outweigh those downsides. :-)
