This is the MG Mega Bazooka Launcher, released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. As the signature weapon of the Hyaku-Shiki, it's the first-ever 100% all-new tooling kit at 1/100 scale.
True to MG form, it's big and bold compared to the HGUC version. Because of its size, a modified Action Base 1 stand is included in the box. The power cable section uses the same segmented pipe design from the MG Gouf Ver.2.0's heat rod, and just like the HGUC, it can be converted into storage mode as well.
There are also a few MG-exclusive gimmicks — a movable cover has been added between the shoulder stocks at the rear, and the lower support arm is designed to both articulate and extend in length. On top of that, the small sight on top can be tucked away when in storage mode, which is a nice little touch. So it does have some things going for it over the HGUC, but since there's no inner frame whatsoever, the overall build feels closer to RE/100 territory than a proper MG.
It pairs up with the MG Hyaku-Shiki Ver.2.0 without any issues, and you can get a slightly more upright firing pose compared to the HGUC version. That said, unlike the HGUC, there's no dedicated foot rest that fits the Hyaku-Shiki perfectly, so it should be compatible with most MG-scale kits in general.
This kit is significant simply because the Hyaku-Shiki's iconic weapon, the Mega Bazooka Launcher, finally got a full all-new tooling MG release. It's a highly original kit, so if you're a Zeta Gundam fan, it's definitely worth picking up. :-)
