This kit is the MG Crossbone Gundam X2 Custom Ver.Ka, an online exclusive released through Club G (Premium Bandai). It's based on the previously released Club G kit, MG Crossbone Gundam X2 Ver.Ka , with the X2 Custom's signature large rear thrusters and Buster Launcher provided as newly sculpted parts.

The main body is identical to the existing X2 right down to the molded colors, with only the tips of the rear thrusters bulked up. The frame and articulation characteristics are the same as the X1/X2, and that slightly loose, wobbly joint feel is still there too. It's not a tight, snug fit, but it still delivers great articulation and decent pose stability. The newly added large rear thrusters still require a hefty number of yellow seals — 16 in total. The seals blend in reasonably well, but they're not the easiest things to apply cleanly.

The Buster Launcher is well done at MG scale and comes with a fold-in-half storage gimmick. The grip peg is on the thicker side, so an extra palm part to match is included. Thanks to the grip design optimized for such a large weapon, you can pull off Buster Launcher poses nice and stably. The handle also rotates, which makes it much easier to position it however you like when posing.

It does a clean job of capturing the X2 Custom's key features, though it's a bit of a shame the yellow areas on the rear thrusters weren't handled with color separation instead of seals. Either way, Crossbone fans will probably just be glad the X2 Custom finally got the MG treatment. :-)
