This kit is the MG Hyaku-Shiki Raise Cain, released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. It's based on the MG Hyaku-Shiki Crashwith the molded colors changed and gold plating applied — and it delivers some of the best plating quality we've ever seen.
First off, since it shares the same parts as the MG Hyaku-Shiki Crash — which itself is based on the MG Hyaku-Shiki 2.0 & Mass Production Hyaku-Shiki — it's still an excellent kit with solid articulation and joint strength. But thanks to the especially deep and vivid gold plating, the reflective finish feels more premium and satisfying than just about any other plated kit out there. It's a 100% color variant, but that gold coating alone makes it feel like a completely different kit. Even compared to the MG Mass Production Hyaku-Shiki, another plated kit, this one shows a noticeably deeper and richer shine.
So without any new tooling whatsoever — just the plating — it manages to feel like a major upgrade, delivering a sleek and flashy 21st-century take on the Hyaku-Shiki. And thanks to the Hyaku-Shiki Crash's signature extended waist and thighs, the kit is physically much larger too, making it literally big and beautiful. At ¥12,000 it's not cheap, but this is one of those kits where you genuinely feel like you got your money's worth — especially if you're serious about plated finishes. Highly recommended! :-)
