This kit is the MG Gundam Ex Impulse, released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. Based on the MG Force Impulse Gundamreleased as a standard release, this kit features a variety of newly sculpted parts. Numerous armor pieces have been redesigned and the weapons have been upgraded.

Starting with the main body, new sculpts have been applied all over — head, chest, shoulders, forearms, skirts, shins, and feet. The original beam rifle has been replaced with a weapon called the Adora Zwei, and the Force Silhouette has been upgraded to the fuller, beefier Ex Silhouette. The result is a kit that feels almost brand new overall, with a more modern and refined look.

The basic frame is largely the same as before, so it still delivers excellent joint strength and articulation. The joints are on the stiff side, which means poses hold really well — and the waist joint in particular has been improved. The original MG Impulse Gundam's waist was connected via a ball joint, but on this kit that section has been replaced with a thick fixed pin. So even with the heavy backpack, the waist no longer bends backward. On top of that, the transformation parts from the original MG Force Impulse Gundam are included as-is, so you can still split and combine it into 4 flight units: Chest Flyer, Leg Flyer, Core Fighter, and Silhouette Flyer + Ex Silhouette.
