The coating quality is decent enough, and since it's a dark-colored finish, seeing it in person gives off this satisfying weighty, glossy look that's pretty cool. On top of that, the armor pieces are mostly handled with undergates, so gate marks are less noticeable.

One other thing — with the coating applied, the joint strength feels a bit tighter than before, which means the kit holds its poses rock-solid whether it's just standing or in any action pose. On the flip side, the plastic material was slightly changed for the coating process, so the parts feel a little less durable. Since the durability is down but the joints are stiffer, you'll want to handle the transformation joints gently so they don't snap. (In my case, I already broke one... T_T)
