This kit is the RE/100 Denan Gei, released as a Club G (Premium Bandai) online exclusive. It's the mobile suit from Gundam F91, and also the first new-tooled RE/100 kit in three years. It's based on the concept of a mass-production variant of the 1/100 Denan-Zonwhich was previously released as an older kit.
Skipping over its predecessor the Denan-Zon, the Denan Gei finally gets its first ever plastic model kit after 34 years. The joints are smooth yet hold their position well, giving it surprisingly great articulation for a polycap-less build. Articulation is above average overall, letting you pull off kneeling poses and all sorts of other poses naturally. That said, the gray molded color doesn't really lend itself to a sleek look to begin with, and the detail molding feels slightly soft in places — probably just the nature of the old-school design. But despite the somewhat drab appearance, the kit itself is really well made.
The standard armaments include a beam rifle, beam saber, and beam shield, and there's also a unique set of parade-use sole parts thrown in. On top of that, you can choose between 2 color options for the chest parts.
So it's a bit of an odd new release — old-school looks paired with top-notch joint quality. But if you're an F91 fan or the design speaks to you, this turns out to be a surprisingly high-quality kit that's well worth recommending. :-)
