The wings reused from the original after 26 years were already such high quality back then that they fit right in with the Legend BB without any sense of mismatch.

On top of that, the gimmicks unique to the Shinsei Daishogun — the Triple Omega Cannon, Shin Makou form, and Solar Cannon firing form — are all pulled off convincingly. It's also possible to combine the wings and hind legs with the Legend BB Victory Daishogun.

As you'd expect from a latest-generation Legend BB that's essentially a new product, it boasts a refined and flashy visual presentation along with some fun gimmicks. The joint strength is more stable than the Legend BB Victory Daishogunwhich had some shaky holding power. That said, the hind legs in Shin Makou form do show a bit of unreliable stability, and whether it's a design issue or not, the sword mounted on the hip interferes with the shoulder armor. This makes it hard to fully close the gap between the upper and lower body, causing one side of the waist joint to tend to float slightly.

Aside from the awkward proportions caused by the scabbard, it's fair to say this is an overall well-done Legend BB kit. There's honestly a lingering feeling that it didn't quite get a perfectly clean finish, but either way, it's still nice to see the Legend BB lineup continuing with a new release, even if it's through Club G. :-)
