Like Set 1, they claim the molded colors have been refreshed compared to the original releases, but these are still single-color molded kits that really need a paint job. The seals also don't stick well to curved surfaces, so the edges tend to peel up quite a bit. That said, the polycap joints are well implemented, so while the articulation isn't great, the joint strength is solid and stable.

The original 1/144 Gelf kit was a single kit where you'd choose to build either the Gelf, Jagt Gelf, or Revi Gelf. This set includes three copies of the old Gelf runners, so you can build all three at once. Sure, that means a ton of leftover parts, but the upside is you can build the whole Gelf Trio in one go — each with their own distinct head, crotch, shoulders, side armor, and backpack.

Like Set 1, this is a kit that'll bring back a wave of nostalgia for old-school fans. It's got the appeal of letting you build the whole Gelf Trio in one shot, so if you've got fond memories of Dragonar, this one's definitely worth recommending. :-)
