Figurerise Mechanics

Obocchaman

Kit Review

Straight build + Stickers

Following Arale-chan from Dr. Slump, Obocchaman has now been released as a Figure-rise Mechanics kit. The basic setup is pretty much the same as Arale-chan, though only some of the frame parts are shared — most parts feature new sculpts. Unlike Arale-chan, the mechanical frame doesn't include an opening/closing gimmick for the torso.

As for accessories, a right hand holding a milk bottle and an open left hand are included as extras, and there's also a newly sculpted face for Arale-chan thrown in as a bonus. The articulation is the same as Arale-chan — wide range of poses is tough — but the visual accuracy, like it jumped straight out of the manga, is impressively high.

It's not quite as iconic a kit as Arale-chan, but if you're a Dr. Slump fan, this is a clean, well-made kit that's sure to be a fun build. :-)
