This kit is Vegeta (New Spec Ver.) from the Figure-rise Standard series. All the previously released Figure-rise Standard Vegeta kits were in Super Saiyan form, so this is finally our chance to build a normal Vegeta with black hair.

First off, coming as a New Spec Ver., it's noticeably smaller compared to the old Vegeta. Overall, the face and silhouette are closer to the anime, and most importantly, there's a huge leap forward in terms of how it feels to pose. Looking at the arm and leg articulation alone, it might seem like only a minor improvement — but once you actually start posing it, it feels completely different. The joints are efficiently designed, and the joint strength across the whole figure is well-tuned, making posing a comfortable experience. It goes beyond just having good articulation — you can get the pose you want quickly and easily. And thanks to joints that move smoothly while still holding firm, poses stay locked in place really well.

There's even a dedicated set of fixed arms included specifically for the crossed-arms pose, which lets you pull off a natural crossed-arms look on par with a regular figure. The four swappable face expressions show a high level of accuracy to the source material. All in all, this is a top-tier action figure model kit with plenty of options, excellent articulation, joint strength, and overall feel. The stiff joints that made posing a pain in Goku (New Spec Ver.)have been completely fixed here.

Personally, this feels like the most polished action figure model kit in the Figure-rise Standard lineup so far. On top of that, you finally get to build a proper normal-form Vegeta, which is a big plus in itself. Either way, whether you're a Dragon Ball fan or just someone who loves action figure model kits, this is a kit I'd put at the top of my recommendation list. :-)
