Kit Review

Straight build + Stickers

This kit is Noir, released as part of the Figure-rise Standard series. She's the heroine character from the TV anime "Synduality Noir" — a character whose signature pose has the jacket half-draped over her arms.

The basic setup is similar to previous Figure-rise Standard girlplas, and the fixed skirt still limits hip joint range of motion. It feels more meaningful as a "girlpla figure kit to build" rather than something you'd go wild posing. If you remove the black jacket — the main accessory — you can attach the arms and backpack to display her in body mode, but with the jacket on, you're pretty much limited to poses where the arms stay fixed in place.

Like some of the earlier kits in the series, 2 of the 3 swappable faces require you to apply waterslide decals for the eyes. Getting both eyes at exactly the right height and symmetrically aligned is still no easy task. They do include multiple duplicate eye decals for that reason, but no matter how carefully you apply them, they just don't look as natural as a face with the eyes tampo-printed right on. It would've been great if they'd just printed all the eyes like Kotobukiya does. And as mentioned, the belt parts on the jacket are fragile and easy to snap by accident, so watch out — I already broke mine right at the start T_T

Overall it's a decent-quality Bandai-style girl kit, but ¥4,200 feels a bit steep for what's a fairly modest package. Bandai owns the license for this character directly, so you have to wonder why they felt the need to price it at what feels like double what it should be. That said, if the look appeals to you or you enjoyed watching Synduality, this is the kind of kit where you're just happy it exists at all :-)
