This kit is Ple Two, released as part of the Figure-rise Standard series. She's a character from Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, the pilot who flew the Psycho Gundam Mk-II and Qubeley Mk-II, among others. She's the first Universal Century character to get the Figure-rise Standard treatment.
First off, Ple Two's colorful pilot suit is pulled off really well thanks to excellent color separation — not just the deep blue and red, but even the yellow stripes running along the sides of the arms and legs are cleanly broken up into separate parts. That said, since she's a small character, all the parts are correspondingly tiny, which makes assembly feel a little fiddly. For adult men with larger hands, it's a bit of a struggle — kind of like building an RG kit.
Three facial expressions are included in total, and two of them require applying the eyes with wet decals. The head itself comes in 3 different types, and the helmeted version lets you detach the helmet separately to use as an accessory. The upper body also comes in two variants — the standard type and one with the collar loosened open for wearing the helmet. As for weapons, a handgun is included.
The overall appearance is top-notch — easily A-grade — but unfortunately the joint strength is pretty lacking. The joints are loose all around, making even a simple standing pose feel unstable, and the yellow stripe parts on the sides of the forearms don't stay on well and keep falling off. Whenever you try to pose her on a flat surface, no matter what position you go for, it just feels unsteady. It really would've been nice if a stand had been included... that's the one thing that stings.
Anyway, it's kind of amusing that Ple Two — the clone from the ZZ anime — got her Figure-rise Standard release before the original character, Elpeo Ple. The weak joint strength can be worked around to some extent by borrowing a stand. If you have fond memories of the ZZ series and the Ple Two character, this is a pretty meaningful Figure-rise Standard kit that's well worth picking up. :-)
