Kit Review

Following Omegamon, WarGreymon from Digimon Adventure has also been released in the Figure-rise Standard lineup. Like its predecessor, it follows the concept of an assembly-style figure model kit, but it still feels a bit different from your typical Figure-rise Standard kit.
The first thing that really stands out is the impressive color separation — even a straight build delivers a pretty striking look. That said, beyond the parts breakdown, there are quite a few disappointing aspects. The average articulation due to the design is fine enough, but the balance between the hefty weight and joint strength makes posing a real challenge.
The legs in particular have a surprisingly limited range of motion, making it hard to get good poses — even spreading them just a little causes the stance to become unstable or the hip joints to pop out. And while the lower body feels shaky, the shoulders are oddly stiff and not easy to move. As a result, even slightly dynamic poses tend to topple over, and the kit is too heavy to sit stably on a stand either.
For weapons, you get two Dramon Killers and the Brave Shield. The Brave Shield can be mounted on the back and spread out like wings, or combined into one using the joint parts and attached to the arm. The claws on the Dramon Killers are articulated, and it's also possible to mount both of them on a single arm.
So while it looks spectacular, it leaves a lot to be desired as a poseable action figure. Even if getting a variety of poses is a hassle, if you set it in a decent pose and leave it there, it does have a pretty commanding presence. Since this is ultimately a kit made for Digimon Adventure fans, I'm sure plenty of people will be perfectly happy just with the fun of assembling that gorgeous exterior. :-)
