Figurerise Standard

Bardock

Kit Review

Straight build + Stickers

Bardock, the father of Son Gokou, has been released in the Figure-rise Standard Dragon Ball lineup. Maybe it's because they're father and son, but everything from the hairstyle to the face is practically identical — the main differences are the facial scar and the headband.

Pretty much all the Figure-rise Son Gokou-related kits have reused a large portion of the body parts, but since Bardock's outfit is quite different, a good number of the parts are newly tooled. The white band sections on the body are especially well done with thorough color separation, which makes the straight build look a bit more premium. The articulation and joint strength are solid and pretty much on par with previous releases.

Accessories include a small clear stand, two open hands, a Kiko-ha charging port, and a Kiko-ha effect part. One difference from previous kits is the silver foil sticker that goes inside the Kiko-ha charging port. Either way, this is a refreshingly new Dragon Ball kit after a while, and it's a clean, quality build that any Dragon Ball fan will have a great time with. :-)
