Figurerise Standard

Lena

Kit Review

Straight build + Stickers

Lena, a character from the new anime series "86 (Eighty-Six)," has been released as part of the Figure-rise Standard line. The basic format is the same as the existing Figure-rise girlplas, just with a different design. While it does require a fair number of stickers, even a straight build gives you a pretty impressive look.

You can swap between 3 facial expressions, and for each face you can mix and match 2 eye shadow types with 3 different eye directions using the seals. The seals don't look too out of place — they have a manga-like printed style that actually suits the figure quite well. For the head, you can choose between two options: with the hat or without, and dedicated hand parts for holding the hat are also included. As for accessories, there's one binder included, and a dedicated hand part for gripping it lets her hold it nice and securely.

The overall articulation feels smooth and holds its position well, but since the skirt is completely fixed, the range of motion in the legs is limited. Dynamic poses are a bit tricky, but it's generally not too hard to recreate the various characteristic poses she strikes in the source material.

All in all, this is a solid Bandai girlpla with decent quality — the face sculpt has improved compared to the old Fumina days. If you're a fan of the new anime "86," this should be a pretty fun build. :-)
