The differences are the skull-shaped head, hat, chest parts, and accessories.

The overall construction follows the same formula as the previous Kamen Riders, making this a standard kit with solid articulation and joint strength. Accessories include an attaché case (a.k.a. the 007 briefcase) and the Skull Magnum. The attaché case can be opened and Gaia Memories stored inside, while the Skull Magnum features a poseable gimmick that lets you switch between normal mode and Maximum Mode.

On top of that, the hat can be swapped for a version with an angled brim, and the hat top can also be replaced with a part that connects to the hand. A dedicated hand for gripping the hat is included and it connects to it really nicely. One fun little thing to note — the skull head is so smooth and round that you'd think the hat would just slide right off, but once you actually put it on, the gimmick is well-designed enough that it holds on pretty securely.

All in all, this is a solid, well-rounded kit, and it's great that Kamen Rider Skull has gotten the Figurerise Standard treatment. If you're a fan of the Kamen Rider W series, this one is definitely worth picking up. :-)
