In practice though, most people will probably be building this in Luminous Crystal Body form. The original white molded color has been changed to an emerald jade tone, and a good number of newly sculpted parts are used throughout the body to recreate the Luminous Crystal Body effect. It honestly looks even more radiant and stunning in person than it does in photos.

The basic underlying structure is the same as the original kit, so articulation and joint strength are solid as usual. That said, with the rigid clear parts and gloss injection applied, the joint tolerances have tightened up a bit, making everything feel a little more secure. On the downside, since there are no weapons and only a single set of open hands included, the poses you can pull off are pretty limited. This is definitely more of a kit that lets the unique visuals and those gorgeous Luminous Crystal Body parts do the talking, rather than one built for action.

All in all, with its unique visuals and the number of newly sculpted parts included, this is one of the more recommendable Gundam Base exclusives out there. Personally, it exceeded my expectations, and if the distinctive, radiant look appeals to you, it's definitely worth picking up. :-)
