This kit is the 1/144 Option Parts Gunpla 02 (Launcher Striker & Sword Striker). Just like its predecessor, 1/144 Option Parts Gunpla 01 (Aile Striker) it includes the Launcher and Sword Strikers for the EG Strike Gundam — and again, it's 100% all-new tooling.

First off, the Launcher/Sword Strikers have been remodeled to HGCE standards, and the color separation is better than expected — even a straight build gets you surprisingly close to the official color scheme. The detail and sculpt are solid for 1/144 scale, and they look right at home alongside both the EG and HGCE without any awkwardness. The Sword Striker also recreates the beam parts attachment and the Panzer Eisen launch gimmick, and the backpack joint sub-arm on the Launcher Striker is more flexible than on the RG or MG versions. That makes it a lot easier to get the Launcher into a proper holding pose.

This kit also comes with various joint parts, letting you build the Perfect Strike Gundam together with the separately sold Aile Striker. The center of gravity does shift way too far back, so it can't stand upright without a stand — but if you plug a stand into the bottom of the Aile pack, you can pose it without worrying about balance. And just like the previous kit, joint parts for the EG First Gundam are included too, so you can attach the weapons (minus the shoulder units).

These option parts show off color separation and overall build quality that honestly feel too good to be limited to just the EG. Along with the previous Aile Striker, this is a must-have for anyone with an EG or HGCE Strike Gundam. Highly recommended! :-)
