<Gunpla Collection DX — General Notes>
The Gunpla Collection is a kind of gashapon plastic model series released between 2006 and 2007, based on the concept of remodeling the old 1/144 kits down to 1/288 scale. The box art and proportions are designed to feel like a straight-up shrunken copy of the original 1/144 releases. Since these are gashapon, the inner box is wrapped inside an identical outer box, so you can't see what's inside until you open the outer packaging.
Each collection contains a total of 9 to 10 different Gunpla kits, and buying one box gives you a complete set. They're molded in a single color as a base, but they show surprisingly decent volume and detail for their size. Unlike the old 1/144 kits, they snap together without any glue, which is a nice touch. Each kit also comes with a bonus Gundam card.
Since they're so small, articulation is kept to a minimum — the arms and legs are each one solid piece. You could call these plastic model gashapons that prioritize easy assembly and cute charm over poseability.

This kit is the last of the series — the Gunpla Collection DX — and it's made up of larger mobile suits compared to the previous Vol. 1 and 2. As a result, the boxes are bigger and each set only includes 9 kits.
1. Char's Gelgoog
2. Mass Production Gelgoog
3. Rick Dom
4. Juaggu
5. Zeong
6. Guntank
7. Zeong
8. Dodai YS
9. Zaku Minelayer
They're bigger than the previous sets, but the basic features are the same — snap-together assembly and simple articulation. Still, there's something satisfying about collecting all three Gunpla Collection sets and completing a miniature tribute to the classic 1/144 lineup. :-)
