Assembly process
Some undergates are used on the outer armor like this.
The power pipe connection method is unique.
It's neither the MG's rubber tube style nor the PG's spring tension style — instead, you snap individual segments together one by one.
Surprisingly, it's quite sturdy once connected; the joints won't come apart easily and are pretty stiff...
But that does make it hard to pose them in a naturally drooping shape.
The LED system inside the head.
The LED in the sole of the foot uses a yellow sticker included on the back of the sheet to help enhance the light color.

To light up both sides of the leg with just a single LED,
it's designed so that three clear parts total — one in the center and one on each side — all connect to that one LED.
The light from the LED concentrated in the middle travels through the interior of the clear parts on both sides, lighting them up.
Both sides glow a nice bright red like this...
The wiring inside the legs is narrower than on the Rick Dom, making it a bit more fiddly.
The remaining wires running down to the sole can be wrapped around one side of the leg.
The machine gun hand, one of the Gouf's signature features, has a really unique setup.
Light from a single LED travels through each of the finger-shaped clear parts,
making all five fingertips flash and glow simultaneously.
A CR1216 mercury battery dedicated to the machine gun hand is housed in the wrist.
Because of the light-up feature, the fingers aren't articulated, but there's an extra hand with movable fingers included as a spare. (See the completed photos)
The wiring in the body is just as complex and fiddly as the Rick Dom's.
You have to plug every single positive and negative wire into the comb-patterned metal plate at the bottom of the upper body, carefully telling them apart one by one —
it's quite a high-difficulty task.

The switch is on the backpack, and an AA battery — the same as the Rick Dom — is housed in the upper torso just below the head.
The key to assembly is carefully plugging all those wires into the comb-patterned metal contacts on the front and back of the body as you put it together.
The heat rod also connects by snapping individual segments together, just like the power pipes.
To lock it into a fixed shape, you can insert the C-shaped supports shown at the bottom right into each individual joint segment.
