The third Studio Ghibli plastic model release is the "Gun Ship of the Valley of the Wind." Unlike the previous two kits, which were 1/20 scale and figure-focused, this one is a 1/72 scale fighter kit. That said, it does come with small pilot figures of Nausicaä and Mito in the two cockpits.

The molded color is a bright yellow, so the straight build look is pale and washed-out — not unlike the Mehve, honestly — and it's hard to call it great. It actually looks like it needs even more paint than the Mehve. Detail-wise, it does include the machine guns inside the front section, but the pilot figures, cockpit, and exterior details feel a bit rough overall. On the functional side, it features movable flaps, swappable landing gear, and a movable landing gear section at the tail.

So the overall sculpt and functionality aren't bad at all — but the detail work and molded color make the straight build look relatively underwhelming. This is a kit I'd really recommend for people who are planning to paint it. :-)
