This kit is the 1/144 HG Xabungle released as a Premium Bandai online exclusive. The HG treatment of classic mecha just keeps on coming, and this time it's the nostalgic battle mecha Xabungle. For older fans, it's a mecha that might bring Super Taekwon V to mind.

First off, it's pretty much the same size and similar build as the previous classic robot HG releases. Overall it shows excellent color separation and a soft, pastel-like molded color, and the material feels smooth so assembly is a really pleasant experience. What's especially notable is how good the articulation is given the overall look — despite being a boxy, angular robot, it shows a surprising amount of flexibility. The shoulders, waist, and ankles are particularly flexible, letting you pull off all kinds of dynamic poses as well as twisting stances.

Weapons include a 30mm rifle, triple-barrel bazooka, 9-tube rocket pod, and 4-barrel hand cannon, and there are also replacement wing and forearm parts to recreate the Xabungle Type with a partially damaged upper body as seen in the show.
