This kit is Getter 1 released as part of the Mechanic Collection. It follows the same format as its predecessor Mazinger Z, sharing the common Mechanic Collection frame.

Just like Mazinger Z, excellent color separation and extensive use of slide molds make the straight build look really impressive. The red stripe sections on the legs are handled with stickers, but even with just a simple build, you end up with a really high-quality appearance.

Since it uses the same Mechanic Collection frame, the stiff feel and average articulation are still there. That said, the sculpt is good enough that even simple poses look convincing. For weapons, two Getter Tomahawks are included, and the cape on the back can be detached. In terms of features, it's a bit simpler compared to Mazinger Z.

It's a great value mecha plastic model you can enjoy at the affordable price of ¥1500 — definitely a kit I'd recommend to anyone with fond memories of Getter Robo. :-)
