The third 1/72 Siegfried release is the VF-31F Siegfried [Messer], Messer Ihlefeld's unit. Just like Arad's unit, it's a typical Macross-style variation kit based on the originally released Hayate unit, with some molded colors changed and only the head design updated. On top of that, it comes with its own unique top-surface decals to give it some individual character.

Anyway, it does boast the most up-to-date, fully realized transformation mechanism and relatively solid joint strength — but given the nature of a complex transformation kit, durability is still a concern, so this is still a kit you need to handle with care. :-)
