YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie - Ranka Marking ver.

Kit Review

Straight build

The 1/100 YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie has been released in three versions: the standard edition, the Sheryl Marking ver., and this Ranka Marking ver. If the Sheryl version came out, it was only natural that a Ranka version would follow, right? ^^;

Unlike the blue-molded Sheryl version, the Ranka version is molded in green, and just like the other, it looks pretty bare as a straight build. With a marking version, you've really got to put the seals on to get the full effect!

The quality of the Ranka marking seals is excellent — just like the Sheryl version, they're made from a stretchy material that lets them conform smoothly even to curved surfaces. It's a completely different experience from the tricky 1/72 seals, and it's definitely one of the standout features of the 1/100 marking series.

Since this is essentially a display model, all you really need to focus on is how it looks — and thanks to the gorgeous seals, even a basic straight build with panel lining and seal work is more than enough to put together a really impressive display. It's a must-have for Ranka fans, and honestly, the more the merrier — displaying all three versions together is what really makes this series shine. :-)
