Kit Review
Straight build + Panel lining + Seals
Comparing them part by part, everything from the design to the panel lines is reproduced almost perfectly identical to the 1/72.

Following the 1/100 YF-29 trio, the original VF-25F Messiah Valkyrie Alto Custom has now been released in 1/100 scale as well. Just like the YF-29, this is a kit fixed in fighter mode, and the overall concept is the same.
As you can see in the photos, the straight build looks pretty bare on its own, but once you add panel lining and seals, it transforms completely. ^^ The quality of the included seals is on par with the 1/72, and they go on without any major issues.
The panel lining is relatively easier to do compared to the YF-29, and you don't need to apply as many seals either, so the whole process feels a bit more manageable overall. (If anything, the YF-29 was the tougher one to deal with..)
This kit also doesn't come with wet decals, so it feels like it's aimed at non-painters, but just panel lining and seals alone are more than enough to get it display-ready. It's smaller in scale, but the design, seals, and even the panel lines are reproduced almost perfectly in line with the 1/72, so it still looks really good. If anything, compared to the 1/72 where the transformation gimmick can make it hard to get clean lines, this one lets you display a much tighter and crisper fighter mode.
This is a more widely recognized and popular mech than the YF-29, and since even non-painters can finish it with minimal effort and still have a great time building it, I think it's a solid mecha kit that I'd recommend to just about anyone. :-)
